Jessica Sowyrda is the founder of Vessel Pilates and lives in Kingwood with her husband and three beautiful children. She was first introduced to the Pilates Reformer after giving birth to her first baby, and she immediately fell in love. She quickly saw its benefits through her own transformation during her postnatal recovery and continued to practice Pilates during her next two pregnancies.
As she learned more about this powerful system of mindful movement and journeyed deeper into motherhood, her passion for prenatal and postnatal wellness soared. Keeping her body happy, aligned, strong and flexible, she saw first-hand the positive impact Pilates brought to her own life and body. Jessica wholeheartedly believes that Pilates allows us to move more confidently, joyfully, and freely in our everyday lives, so much so that she wanted other mothers and women to experience its beautiful life-changing benefits. In an effort to encourage other mothers to make self-care a priority, she combined her love for fitness and desire to educate women to launch Vessel Pilates. She wanted to create a healing space that promoted wellness and self-care, where women could come in, feel good and support each other. At the end of the day, Jessica’s purpose lies in enriching the lives of women through a fitness community built on healing, health, and wellness. Her priority is to have you walking away feeling enlightened, refreshed, empowered, balanced, and filled with energy.
Jessica is comprehensively trained in the Pilates method and certified as a Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist, Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates Teacher, and in Diastasis Recti Recovery & Pelvic Floor Healing through The Center for Women’s Fitness. She strives to help women heal who suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti, and postural alignment issues after childbirth. Jessica’s main goal is to bring a specialized wellness experience to the Kingwood area—one that encourages women to take care of themselves and feel good in their bodies. She teaches with absolute passion and loves to focus on connection, breath, rhythm, flow, and the mind-body-spirit alignment. She is also trained in Pilates Suspension Method, Barre Body, Rebounding, and Fascia movement.
