When I woke this morning (as if I even slept a wink from all the joy) there was simply no need for coffee – the Fourth of July gets me so invigorated! The many women I have met over the year when I started the Kingwood Business Women organization, have touched my heart. They’ve shared their stories and dreams of reaching financial freedom. We spoke of their desire to have something to call their own. Sharing their goals of growing a business from what they enjoy as a passion they want to do daily.
My experience of working with businesses of all sizes over the years as CEO of Houston Studio® has inspired me to give back to the local community. By creating courses with business skills, panel discussions with Houston’s most influential and seasoned business owners, networking, and events with opportunities for small businesses. Also, by creating the KBW platform to sell, grow, and maintain brand awareness. Seeing so many of these women, today reminds me of the young start-up I once was.

No amount of heat was going to keep me and KBW member volunteers from sharing in the excitement of celebrating our country’s birthday! Thank you so much to the community of Kingwood and the Kingwood Civic Club for having the Kingwood Business Women organization show out on our float.
Thank you to KBW Sponsor & Executive Member, Heidi Brown of Divine Creations by The Browns for the beautiful patriotic balloon garland. Thank you to KBW Sponsor & Executive Members Connie Chandler & Elisabeth Chandler of Minuteman Press of Humble for the incredible quality custom banners, KBW event t-shirts, and the five thousand fliers (yes, that’s right, 5k fliers went out today). Also, a huge thanks to Houston Studio® for making the KBW participation possible through their KBW Executive Sponsorship contribution.
