I didn’t know I would get so much out of it as I did from attending and listening to the incredible KBW panelists.” Kingwood Business Women hosted their inaugural Business & Brunch event at the Kingwood Country Club which included well-known Houston and local industry leaders and businesses. Kingwood Business Women founder, Christa Elyce, founded KBW in the fall of 2021 after returning to the Northeast Houston area after living in the Tanglewood/Galleria area of Houston for 8 years. “Searching for a modern women’s association with a focus on business and infused with positive energy and diverse representation in our community was something that I couldn’t find. I set out to create an association that celebrated the modern businesswoman, cultivated new relationships, and brought fabulous events and workshops to the professional women in the Lake Houston area.” Utilizing her background in business development, marketing, and branding; she started a social media account that posted inspirational women in business imagery. The account gained 500 followers in under 7 days. “That said to me that Kingwood, Atascocita, and Humble area women felt the same need as I do. A support system sisterhood of like-minded women who have big dreams!”

Kingwood Business Women hosts their next big event this fall. The Harvest Moon Soirée takes place on September 10th on a full moon – “The best time to manifest your desires for your business for the final quarter looking into 2023 and celebrate the incredible first half of the year you had!” Claire Anne, an event committee member, shared. The city of Kingwood certain has different energy these days that some have called an ‘electric buzz’ of sorts. If every woman could know that their dreams are obtainable, that their creativity and skill set will make them successful, and that they always have a sisterhood to support them. And to that, we say “ROAR!”
